Chapter 11: Tell Jezebel to Bounce!

“A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as

rottenous in his bones.”

-Proverbs 12:4

Dear Cherie,

Where do I start?

It’s been some years, but I had to write this letter so that I can put this chapter to rest.

When we were together, I would have done anything for you: lied, steal, even kill. You

meant that much to me.

However, we grew apart and then you started to take the love I felt for you as a joke.

I know that it’s not typical for a man to write a letter like this, but you broke my heart.

What’s worst…is that you’re always on my mind and I even dream about you every single

night. Those dreams always start off happy, but then end in some kind of tragedy.

You killed my soul when you walked out on me.

You just took what you wanted from me and jetted out of my life without as much as a thank

you.

The most hurtful thing about our breakup is that you stepped on my heart and thought

nothing of how it made me feel.

That was wrong, and I cursed you for years.

Every woman that I met after YOU had to pass my radar. If anything about them remotely

reminded me of you, I’d snap. Yeah, they had to compete with your ghost.

It took years of self-therapy for me to realize that you were just no damned good. Moreprecisely, you’re the type of woman that could turn a good man into something that

even he, his mama, and God wouldn’t be able to recognize.

It’s ok…I’m alright now.

I’ve come to accept what happened and slowly move on.

I just wanted to let you know and I wish you the best that Hell could offer.

With love,

Marcus X

This letter is fictitious, but the motivation of it is to inspire some brothers

to release the hurt in some manner that they’ve experienced with women who

selfishly hurt them.

Frankly, Black women are tired of dealing with the dirty laundry that

seem to weigh down far too many brothers out there whom many desire to enter

into relationships with.

A bad woman is the root of bad men…most of the time. Not all of the

time, but definitely is a true catalyst in much of the behavior that far too many

sisters have had to deal with from brothers.

Cherie is merely a symbolic figure to represent all of those women who

have dropkicked, ripped out, and gutted the hearts of many men. For the unsuspecting man who’s made the mistake of falling for a Cherie;

the psychological wounds left by her have made it virtually impossible for him to

move on and allow himself to have a healthy relationship with another woman.

Every woman that he meets is Cherie. He can’t see her clearly because of his pain,

thus, these innocent women must pay for Cherie’s crimes.

Hell may have no fury like a woman scorned but when a man’s pride has

been bruised; his fury could obliterate everything in Hell.

For too many brothers out there, many innocent sistahs have become

Cherie.

Whether it is videos, talk shows, print news or in daily conversations, all

earth must be warned of the “Evil Black woman.
